The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for Georgia’s 2nd Congressional District, “Imagine,” highlighting the threat Republican Chris West poses to Social Security, and why he’s too extreme for Congress.
The TV ad details West’s history of aligning himself with Republicans who want to end Social Security as we know it, including his work for Republicans that tried to privatize Social Security. West has also embraced the support of Washington Republicans, like Tom Emmer and Steve Scalise, who voted for hundreds of billions in cuts to safety net programs, like Medicare and Social Security.
The ad – the first to run in GA-02 from the DCCC IE – is airing in the Albany, Columbus, and Macon media markets beginning today and is part of the committee’s previously announced investments in key battleground districts.
