DCCC Releases New TV Ad In IA-01: “Gone Too Far”

The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for IA-01, “Gone Too Far,” highlighting Mariannette Miller-Meeks’ support for banning abortion.

The ad features an Iowa nurse practitioner, who until now was a reliable Republican voter, speaking out against Miller-Meeks’ dangerous anti-abortion agenda. In the state legislature, Miller-Meeks paved the way for Iowa’s near-total abortion ban, voting to eliminate the right to abortion in Iowa. In Congress, she tried to take her abortion ban nationwide with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the woman’s life.

The ad – the second ad from the DCCC IE in IA-01 – is airing in the Davenport and Des Moines media markets beginning today.

Gone Too Far

Gone Too Far” Transcript:

I’m a nurse practitioner and I used to always vote Republican.

For Congress, I cannot vote for Mariannette Miller-Meeks.

She supported a total abortion ban with no exceptions.

Not even for rape or medical emergencies.

And she laid the groundwork for the strict abortion ban we have in Iowa now.

Politicians should never strip away our freedoms or our medical options.

Miller-Meeks’ obsession with ending abortion rights has gone too far.
