DCCC Releases New TV Ad in NM-02: “Charged”

The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for NM-02, “Charged,” highlighting extremist Yvette Herrell’s dangerous support for abortion restrictions that would have women and doctors jailed if she had her way.

Yvette Herrell is one of the most extreme Republicans in Congress. She not only wants to deny women access to abortions, even in the case of rape, incest or when the life of a woman is at risk, she wants to criminalize women and healthcare providers. Herrell co-sponsored legislation to make abortion a felony for rape victims and doubled down on her anti-abortion extremism just last year – supporting a nationwide abortion ban that would rip away New Mexicans’ rights. It’s clear Yvette Herrell won’t stop attacking our rights until she is out of Congress for good.

The ad – the first to run in NM-02 from the DCCC IE – is airing in the El Paso and Albuquerque media markets beginning today and is part of the committee’s investments in key battleground NM-02.
