The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for New York’s 17th District, “Stand,” highlighting Cait Conley’s life of service, her promise to put country over party, and her mission to root out corruption in Washington.
While Mike Lawler bends the knee to Donald Trump and his billionaire backers at every turn, Cait isn’t beholden to any political party or person. In Congress, she will work with anyone to ban stock trading for members of Congress and the White House, stand up to the utility monopolies hiking rates on Hudson Valley families, and put working people over the profits of big corporations and special interests.
The ad – the fifth to run in NY-17 from the DCCC and Cait for New York – is airing in the New York media market beginning today and is part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.
Transcript:
“As a 16-year Army combat veteran, I took an oath to serve this country — not any political party.
And unlike Lawler, I’ll stand up to anyone to do it.
The first thing we’re gonna do is ban congressional stock trading.
So politicians can’t get rich when corporations jack up our prices.
Next, I’m gonna stop drug and utility monopolies from passing their lobbying budgets onto us.
We’re not gonna pay for corporations to put money in Mike Lawler’s pocket anymore.
I’m Cait Conley, and I approve this message — because the corruption that costs us, ends now.”
