The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for Ohio’s Ninth District, “Common Sense,” highlighting Derek Merrin’s record of giving billionaires and big corporations billions in handouts while hardworking Ohioans pay the price.
Bought and paid for by special interests, Data Center Derek not only voted to hand Big Tech billions in data center tax breaks, he also greenlit the $1.3 billion FirstEnergy bailout at the center of the biggest corruption scandal in Ohio history. Meanwhile, Marcy Kaptur has spent her career standing with Ohio’s working families against corporate special interests and will continue fighting to stop data center giveaways and lower costs for Northwest Ohioans.
The ad – the third to run in OH-09 from the DCCC and Kaptur for Congress – is airing in the Toledo media market beginning today and is part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.
