The DCCC released two new TV ads in the race for WA-03, “Nurse” and “Mistake,” showing voters that John Braun is a loyal Trump lapdog who would greenlight Trump’s reckless, cost-hiking agenda.
“Nurse” highlights Braun’s record of taking $100,000 from Big Pharma and Big Insurance interests, then voting their way in Olympia – including against lowering drug prices and against protecting people with pre-existing conditions – and his support for gutting Washingtonians’ health care to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
“Mistake” highlights Marie Gluesenkamp Perez’s independent streak and how Braun would be another rubberstamp for Trump’s reckless war in Iran.
The ads – the third and fourth to run in WA-03 from the DCCC and Marie for Congress – are airing in the Portland media market beginning today and are part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.
“Nurse” Transcript:
I’m working nonstop, giving patients the care they need.
I don’t have time for politics, but when I learned that John Braun took nearly $100,000 from insurance companies and then voted their way in Olympia, I had to speak up.
Braun voted against making prescription drugs more affordable and against requiring insurance companies to cover people with pre-existing conditions.
Even supports a bill to kick more people from health care.
John Braun, your backroom deals are making us sick.
“Mistake” Transcript:
Going to war with Iran was a mistake.
I said so then and now.
I deeply respect that my opponent served our country, but Donald Trump handed him his complete and total endorsement for a reason.
