DCCC Releases New TV Ads – ‘Protect Who’ and ‘Depend On It’– Exposes John Katko’s Failures To Stand Up For NY-24

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is launching two new television advertisements in New York’s 24th Congressional district, the first exposing John Katko’s record as a prosecutor letting sexual predators out early and the second highlighting his support from Republicans in Congress who want him to end the Medicare guarantee.

The first ad, “Protect Who,” informs Central New Yorkers that as a prosecutor, John Katko cut a deal with a Republican mayor who solicited sex with a minor, slicing the sentence nearly in half. Katko even agreed to a plea deal with a corrupt police officer accused of rape. The ad begins running on broadcast and cable in the district this week.

The second ad, “Depend On It,” takes Katko to task on Medicare and features a testimonial from a Central New Yorkers senior who depends on Medicare and says she can’t count on John Katko whose backers who want to cut Medicare and require seniors to pay thousands more. The ad begins running on broadcast and cable in the district this week.

“…behind bars.  Including a Republican mayor.”

Announcer:

Seen this TV ad?

Here’s the truth.

As a prosecutor, John Katko cut a deal with a Republican mayor who solicited sex with a minor….

…slicing the sentence nearly in half

And Katko even agreed to a plea deal with a corrupt police officer accused of rape.

Cutting deals with insiders.  Letting sexual predators out early.

John Katko.  He’s not for us.

Ruth Kutz:

For years, with each paycheck, I paid into Medicare.

That’s why it angers me that Republicans in Congress are counting on John Katko to pass a budget ending the Medicare guarantee.

Katko’s backers want to cut Medicare.

And require seniors to pay thousands more.

Republicans in Congress may depend on John Katko.

But I depend on Medicare.  So there’s no way I can count on him.
