DCCC Releases Two New TV Ads in PA-10: “Origin Story” and “Chuck”

The DCCC released two new TV ads in the race for PA-10, “Origin Story” and “Chuck,” contrasting Janelle Stelson’s plan to lower taxes for Central Pennsylvanians with Congressman Scott Perry’s policies that are hurting his constituents.

In “Origin Story,” Janelle talks about being raised by a state trooper and a shipyard worker, and backs tax cuts for working people instead of billionaires. In “Chuck,” a Carlisle, PA father shares how Perry refused to meet with him and his son before his cruel vote to gut Medicaid.

The ads – the 5th and 6th from the DCCC and the Janelle Stelson campaign – are airing in the Harrisburg media market beginning today and are part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.

“Origin Story”

Transcript:

Janelle: My dad was a state trooper. Mom worked at a Navy shipyard.

They struggled to raise me and my 3 sisters.

That’s why I would vote to cut taxes on tips and overtime permanently.

The middle class is being squeezed.

But Congressman Perry voted to give more tax breaks to the billionaires funding his campaign.

Perry let them pay less by raising the cost of healthcare for the rest of us.

Janelle: I’m Janelle Stelson. I approve this message because you deserve a tax cut.

But Perry thinks billionaires do.

“Chuck”

Transcript:

Chuck: My son Alex relies on Medicaid. My wife and I are his full time caregivers.

So to see Scott Perry bragging about cutting Medicaid… It’s just heartless.

So many people around here will lose their health care because of Perry’s vote.

Perry doesn’t do town halls.

He wouldn’t meet with our son.

Scott Perry’s been in politics for so long, he’s forgotten about us.

Janelle: I’m Janelle Stelson, and I approve this message.

I will work to make your healthcare more affordable.
