In June, the contrast between Democrats and Republicans in the House became even more clear. Democrats passed the most comprehensive gun safety legislation in decades, while 193 House Republicans voted against it. After the Republican-packed Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Democrats reaffirmed their commitment to accessible reproductive rights, while Republicans doubled down on their plan for a nationwide abortion ban. The stakes couldn’t be higher: voters can see that and are donating in record force to support Democrats.
“Democrats continue to prove they are fighting for the people while Republicans consume themselves with dangerous extremism that puts lives at risk,” said DCCC Chairman Sean Patrick Maloney. “Voters are angry, energized, and ready to rally behind Democrats as we fight against the extremist MAGA agenda in this consequential election.”
DCCC entered July debt-free with $121.5 million cash on hand, $27.4 million more than at this point last cycle.
