In an appearance on CNN today, Representative Claudia Tenney launched a partisan smear against Democrats who didn’t applaud during President Trump’s State of the Union address last week, saying “I would say it was un-American, and they don’t love our country.”
Addressing Tenney’s outrageous comments, DCCC Spokesman Evan Lukaske issued the following statement:
“It’s beyond shameful for Representative Tenney to attack a person’s patriotism simply because they disagree with her, and Tenney’s nasty and hyper-partisan politics are major contributors to the dysfunction in Washington. Central New Yorkers deserve a representative who will reach across the aisle with an open hand, instead of a clenched fist.”
