The DCCC released the following statement from DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene in celebration of AANHPI Heritage Month:
“During Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we celebrate the courage, sacrifice, influence, countless contributions, and achievements that the diverse cultures and communities of AANHPI people have provided and continue to provide our country.
“While honoring AANHPI’s enriching contributions and celebrating the historic progress we have made as a nation to build a more equitable future that embodies the American dream, it is critical that we pause, reflect, and recommit ourselves to fighting back against the onslaught of racism and hate crimes targeting the AANHPI community.
“Not just this month, but every day of the year, House Democrats remain committed to celebrating and advocating for the AANHPI community and the critical fights that remain as we seek to build a safer, fairer, and better nation for all.”
