After Congressman Chip Roy (TX-21) launched his latest reckless attempt at obstruction, DCCC spokesperson Avery Jaffe issued the following statement:
“After voting for higher taxes on Gold Star families and blocking billions in disaster relief funds for struggling Texas families, Congressman Roy is embarrassing himself and his community once again by grandstanding and delaying funding for our armed services and other vital national priorities. It’s clear Congressman Roy is more concerned with partisan showboating and causing gridlock than actually doing his job – and that makes him the ultimate swamp creature.”
The DCCC is targeting Congressman Roy’s seat as part of its DCCC:Texas grassroots investment in the Lone Star State. Last month, as Congressman Roy singlehandedly blocked a bipartisan disaster relief bill and earned nationwide outrage, the DCCC launched a targeted digital advertising campaign to remind voters across Roy’s district of his obstruction.
