DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett issued the following statement following Claudia Tenney’s campaign launch announcement:
“Claudia Tenney has consistently put special interests donors and her party ahead of Upstate New Yorkers and now she’s decided to re-litigate her terrible Washington record and mount another losing campaign in New York’s 22nd District. While rejected Congresswoman Tenney may not have understood the message Upstate New Yorkers sent her, the people of Upstate New York have not forgotten her votes to gut pre-existing conditions protections, her vote for the tax scam that capped state and local tax deductions, or her failure to actually deliver for this district’s flatware industry. If Claudia Tenney wants to run on that record that’s her choice, but then again, who are we to stop her? We welcome her to the race.”
