In response to Washington Republicans allowing Children’s Health Insurance Program and Community Health Center funding to expire, DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law issued the following statement:
“The morally bankrupt Washington Republican establishment has let funding expire for the Children’s Health Insurance Program and the Community Health Centers Fund without even pretending to be concerned. Speaker Ryan’s only two priorities appear to be ripping affordable healthcare away from hardworking Americans and cutting taxes for the wealthy and large corporations.
“The passing of the reconciliation deadline should not fool anyone into complacency. As long as Republicans are in the majority, affordable healthcare is on the chopping block. We will continue to carry this message across America as Democrats fight to take back the House.”
