“Tonight, President Biden showed the nation true leadership. With a goal of building upon the historic results and economic progress that Democrats made possible, the President outlined a clear and optimistic vision to continue improving and protecting the lives of everyday working class Americans.
“The President’s speech offers a clear contrast between House Democrats and House Republicans, who are more focused on MAGA-led political investigations, using the American people as bargaining chips to play politics with the full faith and credit of the United States, demanding cuts to Social Security and Medicare, banning abortion nationwide, and jockeying for power, rather than working together to deliver for everyday families and address the actual challenges our nation faces.
“Democrats remain committed to finding common ground to getting things done for the American people, but we will not hesitate to hold Republicans accountable for being unfit and unwilling to govern.”
