Following the entrance of the Washington Republican establishment’s handpicked candidate into Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District, DCCC Spokesperson Courtney Rice issued the following statement:
“Representative Conor Lamb won this district with a promise to focus on his constituents’ priorities – like lowering the cost of health care and prescription drugs, protecting and creating jobs, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and supporting veterans.
“Three Republicans are now running against Lamb in 2020, including Washington Republican’s hand-picked candidate, Sean Parnell. Whoever wins the Republican primary will have to face the fact that Lamb is keeping his promises and continuing to be an independent voice for his constituents. We are confident that Rep. Conor Lamb will be reelected in 2020.”
