| Corrupt millionaire DC Swamp creature Rod Blum forgot what losing felt like, so he’s back for another round.
Blum’s entrance to the IA-02 race means the Republican primary is getting messier by the minute, as Blum, Joe Mitchell, and Charlie McClintock will fight it out over who can best serve their Washington party bosses and special interests.

“Iowans already soundly rejected career politician, corrupt millionaire, and one of the DC Swamp’s worst, Rod Blum – and if he makes it out the other end of what’s sure to be a crowded, messy primary they’ll reject him again. Blum and the rest of the Republican field are busy fighting over who can be the best lapdog for Washington special interests, while Iowans are looking for change. Democrats are going to flip this seat because Iowans are ready for someone who will actually fight to lower families’ costs and put them first.”
Reminder of Rod Blum’s toxic record:
- Blum voted to jack up health care premiums and repeatedly voted to dismantle protections for preexisting conditions and jeopardize health insurance. He even voted for an age tax on seniors.
- Blum voted for a GOP tax scam that enriched millionaires like himself and was a giveaway to the richest Americans and big corporations.
- As one of the DC Swamp’s worst, Blum was embroiled in serious ethics violations and abuse of taxpayers’ trust. He failed to disclose his shady internet firm and used taxpayer resources to promote his company – which profits from helping companies bury FDA warnings to put Iowans’ health and safety at risk.
