DCCC Statement on Juan Ciscomani Rallying With Mike Johnson Instead of Debating JoAnna Mendoza

Rather than face Marine veteran JoAnna Mendoza and answer for his disastrous record during a debate today hosted by Arizona PBS, Ciscomani is spending the day parading Republican Leader Mike Johnson around Tucson.

REMINDER: Ciscomani votes with his D.C. party bosses 100% of the time – even when it hurts Southern Arizona:

• Ciscomani promised not to cut Medicaid because it would hurt Southern Arizonans, then voted for the largest cuts to Medicaid in history.
• Ciscomani warned of major consequences if the ACA tax credits expired, then voted against a bipartisan deal to extend the credits.
• Ciscomani sounded the alarm that gutting clean energy tax credits would jeopardize local jobs (unfortunately, he was right), but voted for them anyway.
• Ciscomani has repeatedly voted for reckless tariffs that are raising prices on families and small businesses.
• Ciscomani has repeatedly voted for another forever war in Iran.

Take it from Ciscomani’s team: he is simply “not accustomed” to going against his D.C. party bosses who fund his campaign.
