| Following reports that Mike Johnson will be in California to campaign with David Valadao (CA-22), Jim Desmond (CA-48), and Kevin Lincoln (CA-13), DCCC spokesperson Anna Elsasser released the following statement:
“Jim Desmond, Kevin Lincoln, and David Valadao have no new ideas to help Californians – they’re just three candidates running to continue the Republican status quo of corruption and raising costs on working people. That’s why Mike Johnson is swooping in to try and save their fledgling campaigns. Voters won’t forget who sold them out to hand massive tax breaks to billionaires and wealthy corporations by gutting health care and food assistance, championing chaotic tariffs, and refusing to rein in a costly war that has sent gas prices soaring. Californians are ready for change, not another two years of Mike Johnson and DC Republicans’ status quo.” |
