| Following reporting that Mike Johnson will be in New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District to campaign with Greg Cunningham, DCCC spokesperson Anna Elsasser released the following statement:
“You are the company you keep. Greg Cunningham has made Donald Trump and Mike Johnson’s extreme Washington agenda his ‘number one priority,’ so it’s no surprise he’s rolling out the red carpet for the architect of Republicans’ Medicaid cuts, reckless tariffs, and costly war in Iran.
“While New Mexicans are getting squeezed at the grocery store, the gas pump, and the doctor’s office, Cunningham is meeting behind closed doors with his party bosses to raise money for himself and double down on the same agenda driving up those costs. Johnson’s visit only makes clearer what New Mexicans already know: Cunningham will always put his party and the MAGA agenda ahead of them.”

- Greg Cunningham has said passing Republicans’ reckless agenda is his “number one priority” and that policies like gutting health care and SNAP “are good for the people” of NM-02.
