DCCC Statement on North Carolina Republicans’ Backroom Meeting

“Days after Chuck Edwards dropped out of his re-election bid in disgrace, members of the North Carolina Republican Leadership are meeting in secret backrooms and making deals to determine who will take the helm of their sinking ship. And the people who they wanted for the job are dropping like flies because even they see the writing on the wall. 

“Western North Carolinians are sick and tired of politicians telling them what’s best for them – voters know what they want. And it’s not whatever anointed replacement career politicians choose in their backrooms. This November, WNC voters are going to send that message loud and clear and elect Jamie Ager to represent them in Congress.”
