DCCC Statement on Repeat Loser Candidate Kevin Lincoln Entering Race for CA-09

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser released the following statement after shady former mayor and serial candidate Kevin Lincoln announced yet another run for office in CA-09:

“House Republicans are doubling down on a failed playbook, propping Kevin Lincoln back up despite underperforming Trump and voters rejecting his disastrous local record. Lincoln is best known for allowing costs to skyrocket and crime to run rampant as mayor, all while bankrolling perks for himself. Rest assured Lincoln would do the same in Congress – helping House Republicans raise costs on hard-working people and gut health care and food access for Valley families. Meanwhile, Josh Harder is delivering real solutions for the Valley. Voters soundly rejected Lincoln already, and they will again.”

A Quick Reminder on Lincoln’s Failed Record:

Lincoln campaigned on a platform of promoting public safety as mayor – yet crime skyrocketed under his tenure and his mismanagement of law enforcement resulted in staff shortages and lower pay for local officers.
Lincoln has already made life more expensive for working families. As mayor, housing rental and utility prices for water and wastewater dramatically increased.
Lincoln spent millions that could have gone to repair roads and tackle homelessness on lavish updates for a sports arena and millions more in taxpayer dollars renovating his office in City Hall.
Lincoln is extreme and anti-choice. He refused to answer whether he supported restricting abortion access for military service members, celebrated the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and called himself “pro-life.”
