| Following the announcement that the Republican primary in Texas’ 35th Congressional District has resulted in a runoff, DCCC spokesperson Madison Andrus released the following statement:
“Texas Republicans embarked on a cynical gerrymander in a desperate attempt to save their flailing House Majority, only to find themselves in a fight amongst themselves that will continue to wage on while Democrats look ahead to November. Texans are souring on Republicans’ failed agenda of higher prices, higher health care costs, and tax giveaways for billionaires at a historic pace. Democrats will be reaching out to working families with their plan to lower costs and make everyday life more affordable – Republicans will spend their time fighting to prove who can bend the knee deeper to their party bosses in D.C. that caused this crisis.” |
