DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton released the following statement after the MAGA House Republican majority voted on a hyperpartisan Continuing Resolution that does absolutely nothing to avert a government shutdown:
“House Republicans are not serious about keeping the government open. Since day one, they have taken their orders from Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene and cheered on a shutdown. And, because of their dysfunction, the nation is barrelling towards a MAGA-manufactured shutdown that will hurt the middle class and our economy.”
