Today, DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene released the following statement upon the announcement that Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-08) will not seek re-election:
“Dan Kildee has been an outstanding public servant, honorable member and a good friend. During his time in Congress, he’s been a champion for Mid-Michigan and a relentless fighter for his constituents back home. While his list of accomplishments are many — capping the cost of insulin for seniors, rebuilding our roads and bridges, and creating jobs through the expansion of electric vehicle manufacturing — I know his work to clean Flint’s water is something that will leave a lasting impact for decades to come. His level head, passion for service and results-oriented leadership will be sorely missed.
“I wish Dan the best in his future endeavors and look forward to continuing our work together on the Ways and Means committee and in our efforts to keep this district blue and take back the House majority.”
