DCCC Statement on Speaker Mike Johnson’s Closed-Door Event with Mazi Pilip

After GOP extremist Mazi Pilip campaigned with Speaker Mike Johnson, DCCC spokesperson Ellie Dougherty released the following statement:

“It should come as a surprise to no one that Mazi Pilip and her no-show campaign met behind closed doors with her Washington party bosses today. She continues to make one thing exceptionally clear: in DC, Pilip would do the bidding of Mike Johnson – an anti-choice extremist and election denier who wants to slash Social Security and Medicare – and not the people of Long Island and Northeast Queens. Voters are tired of partisanship and will no doubt elect Tom Suozzi to provide leadership that actually delivers for them.”
