Following news that the U.S. Supreme Court rejected another last ditch attempt by Republicans to silence Missouri voters, DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene released the below statement:
“Despite the hubris of Jefferson City Republicans to try everything to deny the people of Missouri the final say – the high court has sided with the people – AGAIN.
“It should never have come to this absurd power grab, but the Supreme Court’s action is clear that Missouri voters get to duly elect their representatives under a legal map, re-elect Rev. Emanual Cleaver, and then also definitively reject the proposed gerrymandered map that Donald Trump asked for.”
