DCCC spokesperson Viet Shelton released the following statement after the North Carolina Republicans selected their new, partisan Congressional map:
“Today’s flagrantly gerrymandered map from MAGA Republicans in North Carolina is the culmination of months of wasted time and taxpayer dollars while voters had to endure never-ending uncertainty about their Congressional representation.
“While Republican extremists work relentlessly to rig the game, House Democrats will continue to fight on behalf of North Carolinians for fair maps that ensure all voices are represented equally in Congress.”
