DCCC Statement on Trump’s Visit to Arizona

“Arizonans aren’t buying what Donald Trump, Juan Ciscomani, and Eli Crane are selling. Voters know prices are up, wages are down, and their health care is on the chopping block – all because Crane and Ciscomani chose to cosign Trump’s tax breaks for billionaires that are funded off the backs of working families. If Trump, Ciscomani, and Crane want to call more attention to their broken promises, they can be our guest. The big, ugly reality is Republicans’ signature achievement leaves working Arizonans behind.”

REMINDER:

• The Big, Ugly Law provides more in tax breaks to the top 1% than to the bottom 80% COMBINED – all while raising taxes on the poorest 40% of Americans.
• Arizonans are paying an estimated extra $1,700 because of Ciscomani and Crane’s reckless tariffs that are raising prices on everything from groceries to gas.
• More than 300,000 Arizonans could lose their health care, at least five Arizona hospitals could close, and more than 400,000 Arizonans already lost their food assistance – all so Ciscomani and Crane could fund tax breaks for billionaires.
• Despite campaigning on lowering costs, Trump’s agenda is spiking gas prices across Arizona – with the average driver paying nearly $5 per gallon.
