DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith released the following statement ahead of Trump’s visit to Iowa’s third congressional district today:
“Zach Nunn, Mariannette Miller-Meeks, and Donald Trump promised Iowans they would fix the economy. Instead under their leadership, farmers are struggling due to reckless tariffs, health care costs are skyrocketing and clinics are closing due to massive Medicaid cuts, and everything from groceries to electricity bills is getting more expensive. Nunn and Miller-Meeks put tax cuts for billionaires ahead of getting costs down for middle-class Iowa families, and voters will hold them accountable this November.”
Reminder of Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn’s Agenda:
Rising prices that are hurting Iowa working familiesdesperate for relief, while billionaires get yet another handout.
The largest cuts to Medicaid in American history that will rip health care away from more than 62,000 Iowans, with premiums already rising for 136,000 Iowans and rural hospitals and health clinics being forced to close their doors.
