DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin issued the following statement after ninth generation Kentuckian, Navy veteran, and former federal prosecutor Zach Dembo won tonight’s Fox56 debate against career politician Ralph Alvarado:
“Tonight’s debate showed exactly why Zach Dembo is surging in this race. Dembo isn’t a career politician – he’s a veteran and political outsider running to shake up a broken Washington in order to lower costs and put Central Kentucky first. Voters who tuned in saw a clear contrast between Dembo’s record of service versus his opponent Ralph Alvarado’s record of corruption. A vote for Dembo is a vote for change, while a vote for Alvarado is a vote for everything that’s wrong with the broken and corrupt political system that is costing Central Kentuckians.”
