Lonegan: School shootings would not happen as often if the U.S. “had not deteriorated to this point morally.”
Addressing Republican candidate and right-winger Steve Lonegan’s commentsthat school shootings would not be as common if our country “had not deteriorated to this point morally,” and that a “return to prayer” would help stop school shootings, DCCC Spokesman Evan Lukaske issued the following statement:
“Steve Lonegan’s comments are sick. A deranged gunman murdered seventeen young people, and their families, friends and our entire nation are grieving. And Lonegan is blaming so-called moral deterioration? He should worry about his own morals, since he appears to completely lack any. His comments are depraved for anyone, let alone a candidate for Congress.”
