In light of the news that the Trump Administration’s Department of Justice will not defend the constitutionality of key provisions of the Affordable Care Act, DCCC Communications Director Meredith Kelly released the following statement:
“This unprecedented move by the Trump Administration is further proof that Republicans will never stop attacking American’s access to affordable healthcare. This is yet another malicious Republican attack that will undermine the stability of our healthcare system, and could once again mean that you or a loved one are denied healthcare because of a pre-existing condition.
“There is no doubt that Republicans are responsible for the rising cost of healthcare premiums and the high likelihood that many will no longer be able to afford basic care at all, and they will face serious blowback in the midterms.”
