DCCC reveals offensive battlefield list, puts CA-03 on offensive Districts In Play list
Today, the DCCC revealed its initial Districts In Play for the 2024 cycle and named CA-03, currently represented by Kevin Kiley, as an offensive target district that will help Democrats win back the House majority in 2024.
Kevin Kiley is a MAGA extremist who will be forced to defend a seat that continues to trend towards Democrats and away from Republicans.
Kiley has been deemed a ‘MAGA’ champion, having refused to acknowledge the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential results and shared a stage with QAnon conspiracists.
Kiley voted against making abortion more accessible in the state of California. Following the Supreme Court’s draft leak, Kiley denounced calls to protect Roe v. Wade.
DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“Kevin Kiley is a MAGA extremist who is less concerned with the needs of the community he represents and more committed to advancing an extreme Republican agenda filled with partisan investigations, out-of-touch legislation, and rolling back reproductive freedoms nationwide.”
The DCCC’s Districts In Play are competitive Republican-held or open districts across the nation that are critical battlegrounds as the DCCC works to unseat Republicans and win a Democratic House majority this cycle.
Additionally, this cycle will mark the first time ever that the DCCC has launched nominee fund pages, which allows grassroots donors to donate now to contribute to the eventual Democratic nominee in these Districts In Play.
