DCCC Targets Colorado’s Most Vulnerable Republican for 2026

DCCC’s 2026 offensive target list includes Gabe Evans as Coloradans grow sour on Republicans’ record of broken promises and higher prices

Today, the DCCC announced House Democrats’ Districts in Play for the 2026 election cycle includes Gabe Evans (CO-08), signaling Democrats’ readiness to reclaim the House majority by focusing on this key seat in Colorado.

The DCCC’s Districts in Play are competitive districts held by vulnerable Republicans across the country that will determine the House Majority.

Evans’ addition to the DCCC’s Districts in Play sends the clear message that Democrats will ensure Colorado voters know of his continued embrace of Elon Musk’s extremism and his party’s dangerously far-right agenda that’s raising costs, destroying jobs, eroding Coloradans’ freedoms, and hurting our country’s future.

Statement from DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene:
“Gabe Evans is running scared, and he should be. From tanking the economy, gutting Medicaid, abandoning our veterans, to making everything more expensive, he’s broken his promises to Coloradans, and it’s going to cost him his seat. The DCCC is already working to recruit authentic and battle-ready candidates in Colorado who reflect this district and will work to better Coloradans’ lives, not line Elon Musk and his DC party bosses’ pockets.”

Additionally, the DCCC has launched nominee fund pages, providing grassroots donors the ability to contribute now to the eventual Democratic nominee in Districts In Play.
