DCCC Targets Congressman Scott Perry with Digital Ads for Turning His Back on Pennsylvania Families

Targeted Digital Ads in PA-10 Call Out Perry for Being Out of Touch with Pennsylvania’s Middle-Class and Contributing to DC Dysfunction

With Congressman Scott Perry facing the race of his life, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today launched a targeted digital ad buy in Pennsylvania’s 10th District to remind voters of Perry’s record in Washington of turning his back on the middle-class by backing a special-interest agenda and putting blind partisanship ahead of making government work for working families.

The ads, which will run starting today on Facebook, highlight Perry’s out of touch comment asking “who’s living that they’re not going to make it to the next paycheck?” as he helped steer the government towards the longest shutdown in U.S. history, and it underscores Perry’s record of taking big campaign checks from special interest contributors and backing their agenda by voting to raise healthcare costs, instituting an age tax on older Americans, and taking away protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

“Congressman Perry now knows that he’s facing the toughest election of his life, but we’re going to make sure he can’t run away from his record in Washington of contributing to extreme partisan gridlock and voting to back a special interest agenda,” said DCCC spokesperson Mike Gwin. “From shutting down the government, to voting for higher health care costs for working families and an age tax on seniors, Scott Perry has turned his back on Pennsylvania’s middle-class.”
