Today, the DCCC announced House Democrats’ Districts in Play for the 2026 election cycle includes Tom Kean Jr. (NJ-07), signaling Democrats’ readiness to reclaim the House majority by focusing on this key seat in New Jersey.
The DCCC’s Districts in Play are competitive districts held by vulnerable Republicans across the country that will determine the House Majority.
Kean. Jr’s addition to the DCCC’s Districts in Play sends the clear message that Democrats will ensure New Jersey voters know of Kean Jr.’s continued embrace of Elon Musk’s extremism and his party’s dangerously far-right agenda that’s raising costs, destroying jobs, eroding New Jerseyans’ freedoms, and hurting our country’s future.

“Tom Kean Jr. is running scared, and he should be. From tanking the economy, gutting Medicaid, abandoning our veterans, to making everything more expensive, he’s broken his promises to New Jerseyans, and it’s going to cost him his seat. The DCCC is already working to recruit authentic and battle-ready candidates in New Jersey who reflect this district and will work to better New Jerseyans’ lives, not line Elon Musk and his DC party bosses’ pockets.”
