DCCC reveals offensive battlefield list, places PA-01 and PA-10 on offensive Districts In Play list
Today, the DCCC revealed its initial Districts In Play for the 2024 cycle and named PA-01 and PA-10, currently represented by Brian Fitzpatrick and Scott Perry, as offensive target districts that will help Democrats win back the House majority in 2024.
President Biden won PA-01 by nearly five points and lost PA-10 by less than four and a half points. While Fitzpatrick acted as a lead negotiator in Kevin McCarthy’s bid for speaker which took 15 voting rounds to settle, Scott Perry was negotiating power and influence for the far-right, which eventually won out through a series of major concessions made by Fitzpatrick and McCarthy.
DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“Brian Fitzpatrick has spent his time in Congress empowering far-right Republicans like Scott Perry. Fitzpatrick and Perry being in Congress – where they both work to empower extremism for power and influence – is a threat to everyday Pennsylvanians’ freedoms, pocketbooks, and futures. Voters will have a clear choice in 2024.”
The DCCC’s Districts In Play are competitive Republican-held or open districts across the nation that are critical battlegrounds as the DCCC works to unseat Republicans and win a Democratic House majority this cycle.
Additionally, this cycle will mark the first time ever that the DCCC has launched nominee fund pages, which allows grassroots donors to donate now to contribute to the eventual Democratic nominee in these Districts In Play.
