Today, the DCCC announced House Democrats’ Districts in Play for the 2026 election cycle includes Monica De La Cruz (TX-15), signaling Democrats’ readiness to reclaim the House majority by focusing on this key seat in Texas.
The DCCC’s Districts in Play are competitive districts held by vulnerable Republicans across the country that will determine the House Majority.
De La Cruz’s addition to the DCCC’s Districts in Play sends the clear message that Democrats will ensure Texas voters know of De La Cruz’s continued embrace of her D.C. party bosses’ dangerously far-right agenda that’s raising costs, destroying jobs, eroding Texans’ freedoms, and hurting our country’s future.
Statement from DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene:
“Monica De La Cruz is running scared, and she should be. From tanking the economy, gutting Medicaid, abandoning our veterans, to making everything more expensive, she’s broken her promises to Texans, and it’s going to cost her her seat. The DCCC is already working to recruit authentic and battle-ready candidates in Texas who reflect this community and will work to better Texans’ lives, not line her D.C. party bosses’ pockets.”
Additionally, the DCCC has launched nominee fund pages, providing grassroots donors the ability to contribute now to the eventual Democratic nominee in Districts in Play.
