DCCC Targets TX-15 as Democrats Plot Path to Majority

DCCC reveals offensive battlefield list, places TX-15 on offensive District In Play list

Today, the DCCC revealed its initial Districts In Play for the 2024 cycle and named TX-15, currently represented by Monica De La Cruz, as an offensive target district that will help Democrats win back the House majority in 2024.

Monica De La Cruz will be forced to defend a seat that President Biden narrowly lost and with De La Cruz and House Republicans’ clear commitment to embracing extremism and putting politics before people, Democrats will be able to strategically target districts like TX-15.

DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“Monica De La Cruz has spent her short time in Congress pushing an extreme agenda that puts her party and politics first, and TX-15 last. De La Cruz is a MAGA extremist who is less concerned with the needs of the community she represents and more committed to advancing an extreme Republican agenda filled with partisan investigations, GOP messaging bills, and rolling back reproductive freedoms nationwide. The DCCC will work to ensure Texas voters have a clear choice in 2024.”

The DCCC’s Districts In Play are competitive Republican-held or open districts across the nation that are critical battlegrounds as the DCCC works to unseat Republicans and win a Democratic House majority this cycle.

Additionally, this cycle will mark the first time ever that the DCCC has launched nominee fund pages, which allows grassroots donors to donate now to contribute to the eventual Democratic nominee in these Districts In Play.
