Today, the DCCC announced that VA-10 will be part of a seven-figure investment in digital, print and radio advertising to court, galvanize, and mobilize AAPI voters in critical battleground districts. The digital advertisements will spotlight Republicans’ extreme agenda on abortion and the impact it has on everyday families.
The digital ads come as Republicans plot a nationwide abortion ban, which would override any state protections – leaving women and families unable to access reproductive health care. The ads share the devastating, but realistic, story of a man losing his wife after she was unable to get treatment due to pregnancy complications.
In Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, extremist candidate Hung Cao cheered the end of Roe v. Wade, which will allow abortion bans to go into effect across the country, and said he supported a law to “protect innocent life from conception to natural death.”
“The Republican agenda poses a threat to people nationwide and especially women and families within the AAPI community,” said DCCC Senior Advisor for AAPI Engagement Allen Chen. “As Republicans plot to further rip away a woman’s freedom to make decisions about her own body, voters will hear about the devastating and dangerous effects of the Republicans’ government overreach.”
