New DCCC ad will reach GA-07 voters on Black serving radio
Today, the DCCC released a radio ad in Georgia’s Seventh Congressional District, highlighting the many reasons why Black Georgia voters should be concerned about Rich McCormick. He’s ridiculed communities protesting police violence against Black Americans and supports a lawsuit to upend the Affordable Care Act. All of this during a deadly pandemic that has disproportionally harmed Black communities. The new ad will reach GA-07 voters on Black serving radio across the district.
“Georgians can’t trust a conspiracy spin doctor who politicizes a deadly pandemic that is devastating the Black community. There is just too much on the line,” DCCC Black Media Advisor Chris Taylor said. “While our communities navigate the dual threat of a growing public health crisis and police brutality in the streets, Rich McCormick ignores the pandemic and calls activists fighting for their neighbors ‘victims.’ That’s not leadership, that’s more of the same and it is dividing rather than uniting Georgians. This November, the choice in this election couldn’t be more clear.”
“Rich McCormick” Transcript:
ANNCR: We shouldn’t trust Rich McCormick as a doctor, let alone trust him in Congress!
What kind of a doctor speaks out against wearing masks, contradicts experts and downplays a global pandemic?
What kind of a doctor, even as our community is being disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, supports the health insurance repeal plan that would gut protections for pre-existing conditions, including coronavirus?
And, what kind of doctor actively promotes racist conspiracy theories against our community?
Rich McCormick undermines our pain by saying we’re playing the “victim” card.
And, he misrepresents the peaceful Black Lives Matter movement saying that it’s being used to, quote, “incite more violence.”
Rich McCormick doesn’t care about us and disregards every priority for African Americans.
If we can’t trust him to look out for us as a doctor, why would we trust him to look out for us in Congress?
It’s time to stop this dangerous spin doctor.
Ditch Rich for Congress.
