DCCC’s First TV Ad in GA-07: Rich McCormick is Too Dangerous for Georgia

DCCC’s first TV ad exposes Rich McCormick’s dangerous and extreme views on the coronavirus

Today, the DCCC released “Doctor,” its first television ad in Georgia’s 7th Congressional District, exposing Rich McCormick’s dangerous and extreme views on COVID-19. The ad will reach GA-07 voters on Atlanta cable and broadcast.

Doctor puts McCormick’s countless statements downplaying the pandemic in the spotlight for GA-07 voters, marked by McCormick’s despicable use of his medical credentials to spread dangerous misinformation about the virus. McCormick claimed the virus was “media hype,” repeatedly commended Trump’s unprepared response, claimed the death figures are inflated and even said masks aren’t proven to work.

WATCH: “Doctor”

“Rich McCormick is dangerous and his despicable use of his medical credentials to downplay the virus and spread misinformation demonstrate he isn’t fit to serve in Congress, much less give medical advice to Georgia families,” DCCC Spokesman Avery Jaffe said. “What kind of a doctor says those kinds of things? Rich McCormick, that’s who.”

Transcript:

A lot of politicians have downplayed the coronavirus.

But how many are doctors?

Dr. Rich McCormick used his medical credentials to spread dangerous misinformation.

McCormick claimed the virus was “media hype”…

Commended Trump’s response…

And even said the death figures are inflated and masks aren’t proven to work.

Over and over again.
