WASHINGTON – Today, employees and leadership at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) are proud to announce the ratification of the DCCC Staff Union’s first collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

Over 99 percent of DCCC staff voted in favor of ratification, demonstrating their robust and enthusiastic commitment to assuring the DCCC remains the preeminent place to work and to elect Democrats nationwide. The CBA supports DCCC staff and ensures the DCCC has the resources it needs to protect the Democratic House Majority by:

  • Extending 100% employer-paid health insurance to staff
  • Raising wages to reflect the value of DCCC employees
  • Rewarding employees who bring valuable language expertise to the committee
  • Establishing comprehensive grievance and arbitration provisions
  • Laying the groundwork for workplace standards in Democratic campaigns and more

Reed Elman Waxham, DCCC Staff Union Bargaining Committee:
“We are grateful to DCCC leadership for the energy and expediency they brought to the bargaining table. This contract makes great strides towards supporting Democratic campaign workers and equipping us with the support we need to show up every day and protect the Democratic House Majority in November and for years to come.”

Tim Persico, DCCC Executive Director
“DCCC’s greatest asset is its people. With this agreement, we’re making this committee an even better place to work, living our values, and ensuring that the DCCC will continue to attract and retain the extraordinary talents who protect our Democratic House Majority – both now and in the cycles to come.”
