Democratic Enthusiasm in First 2026 Primaries Signals Massive Midterm Success

Democrats turned out in droves last night, significantly outpacing Republican turn-out in the first primary contests of the 2026 election cycle.

Across Congressional primaries in Texas, 54% of ballots cast were for Democrats, opposed to just 45% for Republicans. In North Carolina, 59% of ballots cast were for Democrats versus 41% for the GOP.

According to pollster Tom Bonier, Democrats outnumbered Republican votes in four districts Donald Trump and corrupt MAGA Republican extremists gerrymandered to rescue their failed majority. In fact, at least one incumbent Republican lost his seat as a result of Trump’s mid-decade gerrymandering scheme.

Last week, a poll from The Washington Post found Democrats hold a 14-point advantage in voter enthusiasm over Republicans. That advantage is the largest Democrats have had ahead of a midterm election since 2006.

DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Corrupt Republican extremists are throwing away their House majority by aimlessly following Donald Trump’s failed presidency and broken promises. MAGA is going down in November.”
