After recording the strongest year of economic growth in nearly four decades in 2021, it turns out the US jobs market is even stronger than we thought.
Thanks to Democrats’ economic agenda, the Department of Labor reported an impressive 467,000 jobs were added in January, greatly exceeding economists’ predictions of 125,000. The report also highlighted major revisions to the November and December jobs reports, showing that Democrats’ economic agenda led to the greatest year of job creation in our nation’s history.
In the face of an Omicron surge and Republican obstructionism, Democrats in Congress proved they can be trusted to deliver a record number of jobs critical to helping families and businesses.
“People are getting back to work and back on payroll faster than ever expected thanks to Democrats’ economic agenda,” said DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre. “President Biden and House Democrats are building a wildly impressive economic track record that voters will look at when they head to the polls this November.”
