CNN: “Chance of a Dem landslide in 2026 is increasing”
Democrats are up BIG on the generic ballot compared to the 2024 presidential election results across three major states on the House battlefield, CNN reports.
In New York: Harris +13 (2024 President) → D+27 (2026 House polling)
In California: Harris +20 (2024 President) → D+28 (2026 House polling)
In Texas: Trump +14 (2024 President) → R+2 (2026 House polling)
The massive polling shifts across the House battlefield reflect a midterm environment that continues to favor Democrats.
On Saturday, Democrats flipped a Trump +17 seat in Texas in a state senate special election.
A Fox News poll last week shows Democrats up 6 POINTS on the generic congressional ballot, including 62% of Independents supporting Democrats. The current 52% support for congressional Democrats is the HIGHEST recorded for either party in a Fox News poll, a momentous data point considering Democrats won 41 seats in the 2018 midterms.
