Derrick Van Orden Can’t Control His Temper, Even At the State of the Union

Axios: “One House Republican…felt the heckling was ‘sad and unnecessary’”

Vulnerable freshman Derrick Van Orden brought his temper tantrums back to the Capitol last night during the State of the Union, interrupting the speech and screaming “lies!” in defense of former President Trump.

Van Orden was even joined by his friend and ally Marjorie Taylor Greene in his tantrum as they hurled insults together throughout the address.

Let’s not forget that the Congressman has berated everyone from White House officials during a national security briefing, to high school Senate pages in the U.S. Capitol. On the campaign trail last cycle, Van Orden even cursed at and threatened a teenage library worker over an LGBTQ book display.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Like déjà vu, we are treated to yet another story of Derrick Van Orden’s short temper and embarrassing outbursts. Wisconsinites are fed up with Van Orden’s inappropriate behavior and will hold him accountable in November.”
