Derrick Van Orden Says the Media Isn’t Reporting House Republicans’ Wins, Let’s Help Them Out

Whining on national television today, Derrick Van Orden said Republicans aren’t getting enough credit for everything they’ve done since they’ve controlled all the levers of power in Washington DC.

In the spirit of absolute candor, we thought we would help put the Republican record in an easy-to-read list, per Mr. Van Orden’s request (we also would not want anyone to get yelled at by him).

Under Republican rule, America has experienced:  

  1. The highest Labor Day gas prices in history
  2. Sweeping tariffs causing everything to get more expensive, including grocery prices
  3. A war in Iran that won’t end and has spiked gas prices (see item 1)
  4. Mortgage rates approaching 7%
  5. Tax relief for their billionaire donors
  6. The ripping away of health care for over 8 million Americans
  7. Rural hospital closures across the country
  8. 5 million Americans losing food benefits
  9. Health care costs skyrocketing by double digits
  10. A 46% surge in farm bankruptcies
