Job Killing Mayor Mike Ghassali Will Launch Bid in New Jersey’s 5th District
“Tax Hike Mike” — Mike Ghassali — fan of raising taxes and killing jobs, will officially launch his campaign today in New Jersey’s 5th district.
Mayor Ghassali, who admitted that he appreciates Congressman Gottheimer’s “commitment to support his constituents regardless of party affiliation,” will have to defend his own record on jobs.
Under Ghassali’s watch Mercedes-Benz packed up and moved their customer call center and information technology operations out of Montvale. As a result, New Jersey stood to lose more than 100 jobs.

“Mike Ghassali has a sketchy record on jobs,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett. “The last person New Jersey families need representing them in Congress is a guaranteed rubberstamp for the Washington Republican agenda of raising taxes and killing jobs. Ghassali himself has praised Congressman Josh Gottheimer’s record and appreciates his commitment to his constituents and we couldn’t agree more.”
